Fishbites E-Z Pro Squid

Fishbites E-Z Pro Squid is the bigger, thicker version of E-Z Squid: wide squid-scented pads with a mesh layer inside, for big baits that have to stay on the hook.

In the pack

• 4 baits per bag
• Each bait 4 in x 1 1/2 in (10 cm x 38 mm) and 1/4 in (6 mm) thick
• Inner mesh layer that holds the bait on the hook

How to fish it

Cut it to the size of your bait. It suits big-bait fishing for cod, bass, rays and conger, on its own or wrapped around a fish bait.

Water temperature

Fishbites say the gel works in all water temperatures but gives off its scent best above 18°C (65°F). UK sea water is colder than that for most of the year, so the scent trail is slower in winter. A piece lasts about 15 to 45 minutes in the water; change it when only the mesh is left.

Storage

No bait fridge needed on the day. Keep the bag sealed and out of the sun. For storage over several weeks, Fishbites recommend keeping baits in the fridge.
